The Environics gas mixing technology is based on very precise control of thermal mass flow controllers (MFCs). Normally, thermal MFCs offer an accuracy +/- 1% of full-scale flow. However, when combined with Environics computerization and calibration, this accuracy specification is improved to +/- 1% of setpoint. The full-scale error vs. setpoint error document shows the 10x improvement in accuracy of a thermal MFC when using Environics controlling technology. The calibrators and dilution systems exceed the accuracy required by the EPA for Ambient Calibrators (ref: Method 205, 40CFR51, 40CFR60, 40CFR75).

The calibrators and gas dilution systems rely on technical assistance and full support of EcoSoft throughout the Brazilian territory, besides the supply of spare parts and original consumables. Calibration services and maintenance of the calibrators are also conducted in the service laboratory EcoSoft located in Vitória-ES.

The Series 6100 automatically performs zero, precision, span and multi-point calibrations using NO, NO2, SO2, CO, 03, hydrocarbons and other gases of interest. The 6100 meets all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. The ozone generator is factory calibrated using a standard ozone NIST traceable.

The Environics® Series 6103 Ozone Transfer Standard / Multi-Gas Calibrator is a computer controlled, state-of-the-art instrument for dynamic multi-point calibration of ambient air analyzers. The Series 6103 automatically performs zero, precision, span and multi-point calibrations using NO, NO2, SO2, CO, 03, hydrocarbons and other gases of interest. The 6103 meets or exceeds all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. The ozone generator is factory calibrated using a standard ozone NIST traceable. An internal photometer measures the actual amount generated ozone and corrects deviations using the PID control loop. The photometer allows an external source of ozone to be analyzed is displayed on the display. The external ozone is connected to a separate sample port, allowing the mixture of simultaneous gas while monitoring the external source of ozone.

The Environics® Series 9100 Computerized Ambient Monitoring Calibration System is an advanced microprocessor controlled instrument for dynamic calibration of ambient air analyzers. The Series 9100 automatically performs zero, precision, span and multi-point calibrations using NO, NO2, SO2, CO, 03, hydrocarbons and other gases of interest. The Series 9100 exceeds all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements. The Series 9100 consists of a single chassis supporting up to 3 thermal mass flow controllers, an ozone generation module, a mixing zone, a reaction chamber for gas phase titration, and control electronics. Commands are entered from the front panel and displayed on a backlit 25 line by 80 character liquid crystal display. The instrument may also be operated using contact closures or an RS-232 serial data interface. The mass flow controllers are calibrated to a NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) traceable primary flow standard. The calibration data consists of a comparison of desired versus actual flow over the full dynamic range of the instrument, with linear interpolation between points. Calibration data is stored in the non-volatile memory and may be updated by the user with a suitable standard. The Series 9100 ozone generator is factory calibrated using a NIST traceable ozone standard. This temperature controlled, ultra-violet (UV) based ozone generator includes a precision photo-optical feedback circuit to compensate for lamp aging effects as well as built-in pressure compensation.

Environics Series 7000

Series 7000 Stand-Alone Zero Air Generator

The Environics® Series 7000 Zero Air Generator is a pure air generator system that is capable of continuous delivery of up to 20 standard liters per minute (SLPM), 30 pounds per square inch (PSI) of dry, contaminant-free air. The ZAG is a powerful stand-alone unit, so there is no need for you to worry about an external compressed air supply. The air is suitable for use as: a zero reference calibration gas, ultra-pure combustion air for flame ionization detector, and service air for pneumatically operated valves. The system is capable of delivering air free from particulates, sulfur dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Oxides of Nitrogen (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Ozone (O3), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC). The state-of-the-art PSA molecular sieve removes water and produces air with a dew point of less than -30°C. An adjustable drain interval negates the potential of excess water build-up. The Series 7000 is available with an optional dew point transmitter. The Zero Air Generator now includes a color-changing moisture indicator (visible on the front panel). If water vapor is present, the indicator will change from white to blue. When the water vapor is removed, the indicator will revert to its white color. The ZAG now includes with dual pressure regulation for enhanced performance. The Series 7000 consists of scrubbers to remove SO2, NO, NO2, O3 and H2S. Optional scrubbers are available to remove CO and Hydrocarbons. A ballast tank is standard in the system. It extends both the pump and scrubber life by cycling the pump automatically only as needed. The Series 7000 offers automatic pneumatic control. It will automatically turn on and off based on the demand of the system that it is supporting. Operation of the system has been simplified so that the operator can set the output pressure desired through a regulator on the front panel of the system. The output pressure gauge is located to accurately reflect the output pressure of the system. The Zero Air Generator is designed to fit into a 19″ rack with optional slides or used in a portable mode. Strict attention has been paid to the weight of all components to make this system as light as possible.
