SIA – Environmental Information System

SIA is an applicative specially designed for environmental management, developed and marketed by EcoSoft. It is able to handle in an integrated way, multi-user, multi-company or corporate environment, the various activities related to the corporation, including the quality, waste, and by-products management systems. It has a configurable data architecture that suits the different needs and the corporate culture of each specific client. The SIA allows accessibility and integration of the information contained in its database with other applications, using market available databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Informix, Firebird, Postgres, etc.), and providing a corporate desktop, with security, performance, standardization and information transparency.

The SIA is the most complete product for environmental management available in Brazil. Currently in version 4.7 and being 18 years old, it is a tool that has been built up on extensive field experience and subsequent constant evolution, thanks to contributions from our customers and the dedicated work of our development team. The SIA is available in modules that can be purchased separately according to the needs of each client:

Advanced features of mass balance control allow the maintenance of a constantly updated waste inventory, even when using different operating logics. There is a version of SIA compatible with the company’s needs, size, management complexity and number of system users.

ATMOS
It is an advanced tool for planning, management and analysis of the monitoring of any numeric variables in one or multiple companies. The system supports a high volume of data and has complex statistical and graphical tools for analysis and interpretation. Advanced Features include geoprocessing, reports, inventories, formulations and atmospheric modeling. image023 Monitoring Definition In order to be a flexible and comprehensive software, aimed at monitoring any numeric variables, the ATMOS works with a unique concept for the definition and configuration of monitoring. The system stores themes, measurement sites, sampled materials and the measured parameters, beyond the period, frequency, vertical placement, and other information that may be required.

Sites and entities Monitored The sites, locations, areas, beings or objects where material samples are collected for the analysis of the parameters of interest. Ex .: water monitoring station, fireplace, an animal, a tree, etc.
Sites can be geo-referenced in GIS projects, and thus the monitoring can be carried out through space and time. Developing a Monitoring in Atmos is an easy task, despite the organizational complexity of the information that the system allows. Atmos creates a specialized database, fully integrated with any other monitored variable, allowing the start of data input, whether by hand or by automated mechanisms via MIGRIS.
One of the main screens in Atmos is the Measurements screen. It provides data validation tools, allowing easy and quick identification of suspect data by atypical behavior, repetition (or not) of the service quality rules. Thus, the validation of large data volumes and data types becomes easier and more accurate.

You can also turn long series of data into useful and comprehensive information through the statistics analysis tool. Amongst the analyses, here is the example of regression, compass and IQA analysis: image026 image027 IQA Analysis provide rapid preparation of environmental quality reports, from the user-defined settings and the data generated by monitoring, displayed as graphs and tables.

For online viewing, analysis and control (surveillance) of the measured data stored, the Supervisory screen is used. It continuously displays the most recent information on the measurements, and can also indicate compliance with established standards and trends of each series, emitting audible alarms for critical situations. The preview of the supervisory can be done in several ways: graph, chart, spreadsheet, network, SSED or IQA.

Geoprocessing The Geoprocessing Console allows the editing and analysis of monitored variables in space and time. It provides access and simultaneous updates by multiple users on a network, since all layers and objects are stored in the database (spatial objects, references and data). It works with vector and raster information. It supports the editing of various objects as symbols, points, lines, arcs, polygons, areas, texts in various formats, tables, circles and images in general.

AMBION
The Ambion web based system is a tool for the management of the environmental monitoring of any variable in a company or organization. This is a specialized platform that enables the easy, safe and organized registration, of long data series. The organized and secure platform promotes the conversion of data into information through reports, graphs and advanced statistical analyzes, increasing the knowledge base of the organization.

Most important functions and features:

  • The Supervisory Center provides continuous and automated online surveillance of monitored data, and can self diagnose and detect the violations of patterns or limits, set by the user, company or applicable law, emitting audible alarms when there is a noncompliance situation.

Note: All entries and settings of the Supervisory are made trough ATMOS. image034

  • In the Measurements screen the user can analyze the results of environmental parameters input through the ATMOS, and deliberate routines based on this information. ie: statistics, monitoring reports, IQA analyzes.

  • Use the Statistical Analysis tools to transform long series of data into useful and comprehensive information. Examples of available analyzes are IQA analysis, compass and Pollutant Radar.

MIGRIS
It is an integrator software for information systems. It continually works to automatically feed the CIS database – ATMOS and Ambion, from other collection or management systems, such as industrial production supervisory systems, environmental monitoring systems automatic data collection networks, automation and production systems databases, amongst other possibilities.
Most important functions and features:

  • Stability – MIGRIS can withstand continuous operation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Security – one of the main features of MIGRIS, gives full control over accesses performed using passwords, proprietary protocols and encryption.
  • Active Connections – Configured to collect or send data to the desired sources and destinations. Active connections are programmed to, in the desired frequency, perform their actions to transact data.
  • Passive Connections – Set to remain in standby mode until another MIGRIS performs an interconnection call for transference.

image019 The MIGRIS communication connections were developed to provide a wide range of possibilities, including protocols and access to market standards as well as with proprietary protocols of various dataloggerers, automation systems and process supervision manufacturers. The MIGRIS connections are configurable according to user needs, allowing the automation of the ATMOS database input and the interconnection with other databases of interest.

Log of Events occurred in MIGRIS, failures in data transfer, abnormalities, operational errors and other relevant situations that have occurred, are recorded and maintained, generating a history that helps in debugging operational problems.

All data, before being migrated to the ATMOS database is thoroughly validated by MIGRIS, avoiding rework and information errors. In this task are used the information registered for each variable of ATMOS, such as lower and upper detection limits of the measurement method used. The MIGRIS also checks the frequency and means of each variable times, not allowing data overlap in a specific timeline.
To ensure a perfect coupling of the data coming from other systems to the ATMOS, the MIGRIS has a configuration tool for the external naming of variables, with tags or data labels, ensuring complete consistency in data exchange, including the adjustment of external and internal units of measurement, validation flags and correctionor adjustment factors.
image022 The MIGRIS is also used to automate the exchange of data between companies and regulatory agencies, eliminating the submission of required manual and continuous periodic monitoring reports (on paper) by the companies, with total security and agility. The exchange of data between companies can also be performed safely and automatically, enhancing the environmental management of the same region of interest.

SOLIDUS
The generation, handling and disposal of waste, by-products and raw materials in a company are extremely dynamic activities, and its management is a constant challenge. The SOLIDUS module helps control all steps and actions involved in waste management. Advanced features of mass balance control allow the maintenance of a constantly updated waste inventory, even when using different operating logics.

The means of transportation used in waste handling can be registered and managed, and it is possible to control the movement of each registered vehicle, including the totals provided by third-party transporters.

The Waste Compatibility can be worked on SOLIDUS in two ways:

  • Transformation Compatibility, defiining the possibilities for recycling or treatmet of a residue, as well as new residues, by-products or raw materials resulting from the transaction;
  • Incompatibility of Joint Arrangement, defining rules to avoid or prevent that incompatible residue is mixed or arranged in the same sites, preventing damage and accidents. image013

SOLIDUS assists the preparation of this waste, by-products and materials, offering specially designed resources for this purpose.
Initially, the sites of generation, storage, treatment, disposal, reuse or consumption of waste are registered and can be spatially located (georeferenced).

The activity of moving waste and by-products in one or more companies can be distributed to those employees who generate, transport, store, receive, consume or perform other operations involving waste.
This operational mode allows the division of labor and responsibilities, and makes the accounting for waste an online process. The initial configuration guides the user in the actions to be undertaken, indicating routes, destinations, managements, packaging and other recommended actions for the movement of a certain material.

With every movement made, the material stocks at origin and destination are automatically updated. Manifestos may be issued to doubly record the activity carried out, through vouchers printed and signed by the residue sender and receiver.

VISUM
This module provides extensive support to the integrated management system of a company (Ambiental, Qualidade e Saúde/Segurança), including the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18000 elements.), facilitating the implementation and maintenance of the quality policies in an integrated (or not) way.

Legal Requirements and Other Requirements, such as laws, technical standards, ordinances, permits, policies, resolutions and licenses are easily registered, organized and maintained in a functional structure that allows extensive research and association with other elements of quality, such as Non-compliances , Documents, Project Management, Environmental Aspects, Risk Factors, Monitoring Standards, among others.

image002 As for items Communications, VISUM offers a set of tools for the registration and monitoring of communications received, through an assessment, analysis and response stream, that can be configured according to company policy. In addition, communications may be directly related to Aspects / Risk Factors, Documents, Equipment, Non-compliance and Projects.

According to the culture in the company, a user can set the records by nature (ex .: Non-Compliant, Not Compliant Major, Minor non-conformance, Improving Opportunity, Not Compliance Potential, Occurrence), by category (Performance, Process, Product , System), by cause, means of identification, type, process and agency involved. The system provides the opening, monitoring and closure of preventive and corrective actions (SAP / SAC) for the control or elimination of a non-compliance.
The Corrective Actions, Preventive and Improvement implemented after the occurrence of non-conformities are registered, planned and followed until their closure, aiming at the elimination or control of the non-complying situation.

Manage from the audits programming, typology, the auditors involved, the processes and activities to be audited, objectives, scope, checklist, reference documents, participants, opening meeting, the opinion of the audit team, non-conformities found, scanned documents, the findings of the audit up to the closing meeting.

The Critical Analysis meetings are held and planned, allowing the registration of participants, agenda, matters discussed and conclusions reached, as well as the planning tasks to be performed according to the deliberations of the meeting.

With the Project screen, all running and scheduled activities in the implementation of the management plan can be concentrated, with accompanying responsibilities, deadlines and interactions between different projects, including budget.

The Task Manager allows the registration and monitoring of all the obligations of each user within the management system. It interacts with virtually all VISUM modules, whenever there is an action being planned or carried out. The system has predefined types of tasks, and it is possible to add new types, according to convenience.

The identification and registration of Aspects / Risk Factors can occur simultaneously, through multiple employees, streamlining tasks and distributing work and responsibilities. Every aspect / risk factor is associated with the respective impacts / damage. User-created significance filters allow the evaluation of the aspects in a very intuitive way. Periodic reviews can be performed in VISUM, keeping the historical aspects and allowing the assessment of business performance.

Keep total control of your documents with the Documents screen. Control the distribution of documents and comment on them, facilitating their understanding and giving tips on their use. Edit documents in a group, going through cycles of approval. Review and keep revisions of controlled documents without the risk of using outdated versions.
