ECOPS is the world’s only automatic, continuous monitor capable of simultaneously measuring concentrations of settleable particulate matter (SPM), TSP, PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.0. The measurement principle employed for airborne particulate matter is laser particle counting. For SPM, a quartz crystal microbalance is used, allowing the detection of mass variations on the order of ng/cm2 caused by the natural deposition of particles on its surface. ECOPS is part of the EcoSoft ECOPX family, composed of low cost and high performance monitors that are highly modular and customizable according to the client's needs.
The equipment of the ECOPX line can be calibrated by comparison with homologated monitoring stations or standardized manual methods, producing results comparable to regulatory grade equipment.
