Rainfall sensors

Rain gauges suitable for every need: A wide range of sensors is available to measure both the quantity and intensity of precipitation. Our rain gauges consist of a precipitation collection funnel that directs water into a double-tank receiver connected to a magnet. The magnet activates a reed relay, generating a pulse that can be counted by an external counter.

Models equipped with a siphon positioned at the end of the collection funnel are also available to regulate water flow during heavy rainfall. This solution is ideal when the goal is to measure total rainfall over a long period rather than rainfall intensity.

Class A models are available which, after calibration in an internal laboratory, comply with the European standard UNI EN 17277:2020. This standard defines the accuracy for measuring rainfall intensity, as well as the procedures for instrument calibration and data correction. The design complies with WMO standards.

Class A models (UNI 11452:2012) ensure accuracy over intensity measurements.
